ICYMI because of the Christmas Period – #StarWarsEclipse is already facing significant troubles with development. This is according to Tom Henderson, a trustworthy insider who made a video detailing the game’s issues while taking to Twitter. Hennig is best known for her work on Uncharted, which was revolutionary in cinematic action-adventure storytelling, so you know this Star Wars game is in good hands.Star Wars Eclipse, the newly announced action-adventure game set in the high republic era may not release until as late as 2026-2027. It’s an original story set in the Star Wars galaxy and Amy Hennig is leading the project. Untitled Action-Adventure from Skydance New MediaĪnnounced just last month, Skydance New Media and Lucasfilm Games are working to develop a narrative-driven, action-adventure. This game was announced this past January so it’s unlikely we see anything this year. Although this is said to be a strategy game, Foertsch said in a recent interview that the studio is focused on blurring the line between a strategy game and an action game, so this should be interesting to see. Bit Reactor is founded by former Firaxis Games lead developers and the game is helmed by Greg Foertstch, former Art Director of XCOM 2. Yes, Respawn is on this list again, but they are only collaborating with Bit Reactor which is taking point on this game. The game is set during the High Republic Era and is said to feature Quantic Dream’s specialty of branching narratives and multiple playable characters - each with “their own story, abilities, and role to play in the tapestry of events that could alter the carefully balanced peace of the Outer Rim.” Star Wars Strategy game from Respawn and Bit Reactor (TBA) The initial announcement trailer was definitely impressive and I’m looking forward to this one. No release date has been announced, but I’m hoping we learn something more about this game soon. Division 2 lead Julian Gerighty is at the helm of this game, which is said to be a story-driven, open-world adventure built in Massive’s Snowdrop engine. I’m a huge fan of The Division and I would absolutely love that game’s mechanics set in a Star Wars universe. This game is currently in development from Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment, the studio behind The Division and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Of all the Star Wars games currently in development right now, this is probably the one I’m most looking forward to seeing. Open-world Star Wars game from Ubisoft (TBA) We don’t know much about the game other than it’s being led by Peter Hirschmann, a former VP of development at LucasArts and executive producer on the original Battlefront games. In addition to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Respawn is also developing a first-person shooter set in the Star Wars universe. Star Wars FPS from Respawn Entertainment (TBA)

The remake was only announced for PlayStation 5 and PC but it could eventually come to Xbox as it was given a “console exclusive at launch” label. KOTOR is being remade “from the ground up” and will maintain the “integrity of story and character from the original.” But that could change in just a few days as Sony is hosting a State of Play on June 2. We haven’t heard much about Aspyr’s remake of BioWare’s beloved RPG since it was first announced during Sony’s PlayStation Showcase last year. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake (TBA)
